The lush tropical garden are fed by plentiful amounts of rain. Keaau, where the bungalows are located about 20 mins south of Hilo, gets 130 inch of rain a year. Which sounds like a lot, but it rains mostly at night and early morning and then the trade wiinds kick in and the sun comes out.

The really good news is that it is warm, daytime highs between 68F and 83F. And for the most part, showers are brief. In the winter you are more likely to catch a solid week of rain.
